‘Im stronger than you…’
When people start their strength journey they always say – ‘I can’t lift that’ or ‘My deadlift isn’t as heavy as yours…’ or ‘I’m really unfit’.
You’ve probably said it yourself, I definitely have. I now understand that strength is relevant. You get out what you put in.
Everyone is at different stages in their strength development. Whether you squat, deadlift or press 50kg or 150kg, you need to routinely hit heavy lifts that are heavy for you.
Did you read that last sentence?… Go on, read it again!
YOU NEED TO ROUTINELY HIT HEAVY LIFTS THAT ARE HEAVY FOR YOU!
There is something extremely satisfying about lifting and shifting tyres, sandbags, kettlebells and kegs… the more we understand strength and movement the more reasons we have for adding these into our workouts.
Don’t worry about the girl next door, worry about your own strength journey.
